Accident killing two people and injuring a number of people occurred in front of the Saidah Tower, South Jakarta (South Jakarta). One of the survivors, Kokoy, recounted the moments of the tense incident that occurred.
Kokoy is a taxi driver whose car was involved in the accident. Just then, the car he was driving was suddenly rammed from behind.
“Initially the Pajero stopped at a position 200 meters from behind here. Not long after, there was a scream, I didn’t know the motorbikes were hit by the Pajero driver. Not long after my car was rammed,” said Kokoy at the location, Jalan MT Haryono, Jakarta, Wednesday (25/5/2022).
He said traffic conditions at the location were jammed. He admitted that he did not know why the Pajero driver was driving so fast that he hit seven motorbikes before crashing into the taxi he was driving.
“Those motorbikes kegencet my car too, one motorbike kegencetmany were injured and some died,” he said.
Previously, it was reported that a series of accidents in front of the Saidah Tower occurred at around 20.00 WIB, tonight. Pancoran Regional Traffic Committee Iptu Denny Setiawan said the accident resulted in the death of two people.
“It’s true that at the TKP there were more or less two who died on the spot. Then those who were seriously injured, had minor injuries were taken to the hospital,” Denny told reporters at the location.

The police took the vehicle to the Polda Metro Jaya TMC office in Pancoran, South Jakarta. The driver who is suspected of being the cause of the consecutive accident has been secured to the Polda Metro Jaya.
“While it has been secured at the Police,” he said.
