More than 900 accommodations would have been vacant in the private sector for more than two years at Montauban (Tarn et Garonne). These figures were published by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
Compared to the total number of private housing units in Montauban (29,456), this corresponds to 3.1%.
A questionnaire
Faced with this problem, the agglomeration community of Greater Montauban announces that it is on the initiative, Monday, December 13, 2021, of a large questionnaire on the subject intended for the owners concerned.
By means of this questionnaire, Greater Montauban wishes to “better know” the reasons which hinder putting a dwelling back on the local market. The community emphasizes having to respond today to a “demographic dynamic” and would thus like to encourage the development of the real estate heritage.
As a reminder, taxes on vacant homes apply to dwellings that have been unoccupied for some time and are located in certain municipalities. But Montauban is not in a tight zone.
