The general supervisor of the Friendship Health Center in Nouakchott said on Monday that the statement issued by the hospital about the coronavirus vaccination card “does not make it an obligation to seek treatment”.
The General Supervisor, in a press release published by the Ministry of Health on its Facebook page, states that “the wording of the announcement that was made was not formulated in a mandatory style but rather in the form of a wish”.
The general supervisor reaffirmed that the management of the hospital did not prevent any patient or companion from accessing the structure but that it had possibly asked for the presentation of the vaccination card.
He added that the hospital management, as part of positive discrimination and encouragement to those who have complied with prevention measures, has given priority to those who have been vaccinated.
