start-up (startup) field of education Zenius Education terminates employment (layoffs) to more than 200 employees.
In his written statement, Zenius admitted that his business was affected by the current economic conditions.
“In order to adapt to the dynamic macroeconomic conditions that affect the industry, Zenius is consolidating and synergizing business processes to ensure sustainability,” the statement reads to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (24/5).
One of the implications is the changing role of several business functions in line with the optimization and efficiency of the business processes being carried out.
“After going through a comprehensive evaluation and review, Zenius announced that more than 200 of its employees had to leave Zenius,” the Zenius statement continued.
Dismissed employees will receive severance pay in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia.
Zenius will also continue employee health insurance benefits including for their family members until 30 September 2022 including for their family members.
In addition, Zenius has also extended health counseling services with third-party consultants until September 30, 2022.
In helping employees find new opportunities, Zenius will share their personal data with other companies or educational institutions with the employee’s consent. Zenius also suggested the content creation team to apply for a Tentor position at the Primagama branch.
“During the transition process, Zenius is committed to ensuring that all rights and support needed by affected employees are properly met,” said Zenius.
