General Chairperson of the Pro Jokowi Volunteers (Projo) Budi Arie emphasized that his party had not yet determined support for the Presidential Election (presidential election) 2024.
This statement responds to the issue that Projo has supported Pranowo reward after President Joko Widodo gave a signal to support the Governor of Central Java.
“It is clear and unequivocal that Projo not in a hurrynot in a hurry,” said Budi in a press statement, Tuesday (24/5).
Budi said that Projo’s attitude was related to Jokowi’s statement that said don’t rush or ojo kesusu determine support for presidential candidates.
He said that the V Projo 2022 Rakernas actually gave birth to a decision to hold a people’s consultation (musra) to find Jokowi’s replacement for presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024.
Musra will be held throughout Indonesia to capture people’s aspirations. The results of the Musra Projo will be a recommendation for the public and Jokowi in determining the pair of candidates to be supported in the 2024 presidential election.
“If Projo already has a candidate to support, why is there a Musra? It’s a waste of time. Once again, Projo doesn’t drink milk,” he said.
It was reported that at the V Projo National Working Meeting in Magelang, Saturday (21/5), Jokowi asked his volunteers not to rush about supporting the presidential candidate in the 2024 election.
He then seemed to give a signal that the person he was supporting was also at the location. The statement was greeted with applause and shouts of volunteers. Ganjar is known to have attended the event.
“We have to focus and work to resolve the issue earlier. On the other hand, it’s a bit of a political issue, sis, don’t be in a hurry,” said Jokowi.
“Though… even though maybe the one we support is here,” he added.
