Ozzy Osbourne told British magazine Classic Rock that he is awaiting another operation on his neck. “I can’t walk right now”he revealed. “I have physical therapy every morning. I’m feeling a little better. But not so good that I can go on tour again.” When asked if he thinks about mortality, Ozzy said: “At 73, I got along pretty well. I have no plans to go anywhere, but my time will come.” The Briton, who was born in Birmingham, is far from giving up on that, he wants another one “Number One Ozzy Album”. In addition, he says: “I’m coming back to England this year too. It was never my intention to stay out here in America.”
Late last month, Sharon Osbourne spoke about her husband’s health on an American talk show. At the time, Sharon said of the Black Sabbath frontman: “He’s fine. He’s got one more surgery coming up and then he’s dying to come home.” Son Jack said his father will probably retire within the next five to 10 years. But Ozzy isn’t stepping down, even though his No More Tours 2 tour has been billed as his final major world tour.
Ozzy: Adventurous Hospital Record
In addition to his famous crash with a quad bike and a corona infection, there is also his unhealthy lifestyle. Also, two years ago, Ozzy announced that he was battling Parkinson’s disease. Now he has applied for permission for a rehabilitation wing at his historic listed home in Buckinghamshire, England. The extension is to offer plenty of lounge and seating options, handholds, non-slip surfaces and a separate sisters’ apartment. There is also a pool house, a garden room and a gym.
Ozzy and Sharon’s move to the UK isn’t just for health reasons. They are also leaving Los Angeles because of rising taxes in California. The musician and his wife will reportedly spend most of their time at their home, Welders House. “Taxes are too high. I’m sad because I really love living here in LA.” He added: “If they lower taxes, maybe I’ll come back. I’ll take my recording studio with me.” His band should come to him, and he plans to continue making music with her.
Ozzy’s tour is coming in 2023
In November last year, Ozzy’s European tour, originally scheduled for 2019 and then delayed three times, was postponed again. The new dates should now take place in May and June 2023.
Ozzy initially canceled his entire 2019 schedule as he recovered from surgery for pneumonia. The tour was postponed a second time after Ozzy continued to struggle with health issues following a fall at his Los Angeles home. That fall “Aggravated Years of Injury”sustained in the 2003 quad bike accident. Let’s hope he gets some rest soon.
