Salvadoran Samaria Gómez became champion in the Second Division of France and achieved promotion to the highest women’s soccer circuit in that country
This Sunday was a historic day for Salvadoran sports in the UEFA zone. The soccer player from Cusco Samaria Gómez managed to be crowned champion in the second division of women’s football in France with the THIS Feminines.
HAC beat Vendenheim 4-0 and achieved promotion to the first division, the highest circuit.
Samaria Gómez has achieved what no Salvadoran had done before, become champions in European football. Congratulations on our compatriot, who will be remembered for generations as a pioneer in national women’s soccer. What an achievement!
If they remain in the French women’s football division for next season, Samaria could have the opportunity -no less- to play against the current champions of the Women’s UEFA Champions League, Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, tremendous!
