Cobwebs, too, are water-resistant, and are five times stronger than steel of the same size, and twice as flexible as nylon fibres.
Cobwebs are even considered stronger than steel. Then the strength of the spider web was judged only to be defeated by melted quartz.
Therefore, scientists call it biological steel or biosteel.
Due to the strength of the fiber in spider webs, it has been developed as a bullet-resistant textile material, car body, composite reinforcement material for electronic equipment and aircraft material.
Spiders are also mentioned in the Qur’an. Allah SWT says:
The same as those who took from God without God, as well as the same
“The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is like that of a spider that builds a house. And verily the weakest house is the house of the spider if they only knew.” (QS. Al-Ankabut: 41).
