The day after their triumph in Turin, the Fenottes were welcomed by a hundred supporters and the mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet at the end of the afternoon on Sunday.
The night was short but on the balcony of the Hôtel de Ville, the players of theOL did not show signs of fatigue. At least they hid them well behind their sunglasses. Boosted by the hundreds of Lyon supporters who had gathered in front of the Hôtel de Ville, the Fenottes celebrated their Champions League title with their faithful. Of “who does not jump is not from Lyon” to the famous “ahou”, the Lyonnaises took advantage of the sun which bathed the city in light to regain the strength necessary to communicate in front of the Opéra de Lyon. After the victory against the FC Barcelonathe City of Lyon and its Mayor Grégory Doucet had organized a ceremony in honor of the now eight-time European champions.

The environmentalist mayor did not hide his pride in counting “such champions” in Lyon and to have had the “chance to attend this magnificent final in Turin”. In a ceremony much less formal than usual, the Fenottes therefore shared this moment of joy with their supporters as well as with their family present for the occasion. Honored by the City of Lyon as well as the Metropolis, Wendie’s teammates Renard were quickly overtaken by what makes them strong: the culture of winning. As soon as the speeches were over, the Lyon captain told us that she had “need a little rest but we are already looking forward to the match against PSG with the quest for the championship title to go.” Deprived of the title last season, the Fenottes are once again thirsty for trophies. At the Hôtel de Ville and the mayor of Lyon to prepare, OL intends to resume its quarters in the 1st arrondissement.
