The body of the former spokesman for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Achmad Yurianto will be buried militarily at the Dadaprejo Public Cemetery (TPU), Junrejo District, Batu City, East Java, Sunday (22/5) morning.
The deceased’s older brother, Sri Yuriarti, said the body was still at the funeral home, Jalan Ir Soekarno, Batu City. The location of the tomb is only about 200 meters.
“According to the agreement, the plan is to be buried tomorrow near here,” Sri said as quoted from Between.
Achmad Yurianto’s body arrived at the funeral home which is his parents’ house at approximately 21:20 WIB after being purified at the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Malang City, where he has been undergoing treatment for the past few days.
Meanwhile, Achmad Yurianto’s brother-in-law, Odang, said the deceased would be buried in the morning using a military procession. The plan is for the bodies to be buried at the Dadaprejo TPU at around 10.00 WIB.
“Yes (he was buried militaryly), Sunday morning at the Dadaprejo TPU near here,” he said.
Odang added that his brother-in-law is a retired Army officer with the last rank of Colonel and is a friend of former Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto.
Achmad Yurianto, who is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BPJS Health and once served as Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, has died after struggling for a long time with his illness.
He left his wife and two children after undergoing treatment at the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Malang City for approximately three days.
Before undergoing treatment at the Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang City, the deceased was also treated at the Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) Jakarta due to colon cancer.
