M777 howitzers for Ukraine are ready for shipment

M777 towed howitzers are assigned for transport to Ukraine by the United States Air Force.
The US Department of Defense announced on Saturday (May 21) that it was ready to send M777 155mm towed howitzers to Ukraine, the department’s press office reported on Facebook.
“The M777 155mm towed howitzers are intended for transport to Ukraine by the US Air Force as part of US security assistance,” the statement said.
Under the new US aid program, “18 towed 155 millimeter howitzers and 18 tractors for them, as well as three AN / TPQ-36 counter-battery combat radars will be launched immediately”.
Earlier today, US President Joe Biden signed on Saturday May 21 a bill to provide 40 billion dollars to Ukraine.
