Hannover – The change from Fürth coach Stefan Leitl to Hannover 96 is not going smoothly. The 44-year-old’s contract with the Bundesliga relegated team is valid until June 30th.

The Fürther could therefore prevent Leitl from participating in the training start of the 96ers on June 8th. “We can only solve it in agreement with the people of Fürth. That hasn’t happened yet,” said Hanover’s majority shareholder, Martin Kind, to the “Sportbuzzer” internet portal.

The Fürth sports director Rachid Azzouzi also explained: “Nothing is clear yet. He still has a contract until June 30th. 96 is not a priority for us. The new coach is here now, new players have to be brought in, other issues are top priority for us.”

Thanks to an exit clause in his contract in Fürth, Leitl will move to Hanover this summer for a transfer fee of 500,000 euros. Azzouzi recently complained about the lack of style and respect at the second division club. Leitl’s move to Hanover became public early on.
