The evidence of war crimes by Russian troops in Ukraine does not stop: Victims and authorities report contrasts of rape, arbitrary shootings, abuse and deportation to so-called filtration camps. The Ukrainian public prosecutor’s office is now investigating more than 10,000 cases of alleged war crimes, and the International Criminal Court in The Hague has also opened proceedings. Experts are convinced: In view of the systematic nature of the crimes, Russia’s commander-in-chief and President Vladimir Putin could also end up in the dock.
