TRIBUNNEWS.COM, NOVOAZOVSK – The surrender of thousands of Ukrainian fighters, both regular soldiers and members of NeoNazi Azov, exposed the lies of Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky.
A total of 1,730 people have surrendered unconditionally to the Russian forces Mariupol since May 16, 2022. The group of fighters surrendered, not evacuated.
Quoted by Southfront.org, Thursday (19/5/2022), Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitriy Polyansky, stressed that the Ukrainian fighters in Azovstal surrendered unconditionally.
They came out of the sprawling Azovstal steelworks complex which was the last stronghold of the Ukrainian resistance in Mariupol. Of the total number, 80 people were seriously/lightly injured.
The surrender of Ukrainian troops marked complete control of Russian troops and the Donbass militia over the port city of Mariupol on the Sea of Azov.

The story about Zelensky’s lies regarding the surrender of the Ukrainian army and the Azov militia stems from his narrative that mentions the role of the Ukrainian military, the ICRC, and the United Nations.
Russian military officials have not commented on the narrative of the exchange of Ukrainian militants and Russian prisoners. Elite in Kiev continues to claim its soldiers will be exchanged.
All those who needed medical treatment were immediately taken to the Donetsk People’s Republic medical centers in Novoazovsk and Donetsk.
Donetsk Republican leader Denis Pushilin claims more than half of the militants have left Azovstal.
