Not inspired by Indonesian names, Hendra Virus was first isolated in 1994 and originated from an outbreak of respiratory and neurological disease in kuda and humans in the Hendra region, Brisbane, Australia.
Again, the natural distributor of this virus is bat of the genus Pteropus. Quite rare, this viral infection only infected 7 people from 1994 to 2013.

Researcher from Griffith University Australia, Dicky Budiman, revealed that it is possible that humans can contract this virus from horses.
About 85 percent of horses infected with this virus will die. So according to him, this disease is a deadly dangerous disease.
Launching from CDC, Hendra virus transmission to humans can occur shortly after exposure to horse manure infected with this virus. This infection can cause a respiratory illness with severe flu-like signs and symptoms.
Meanwhile, a horse can contract this virus through the urine of bats that carry the Hendra virus.
