Due to the storm, the wall around the cemetery on Rooseveltlaan in Erpe collapsed. An elderly woman was trapped under the rubble and taken to hospital.

The woman wanted to shelter from the rain under the roof of the cemetery, but the wall collapsed due to the strong wind. She ended up under the rubble and was, after she was freed, transferred to the ASZ in Aalst with serious injuries. The woman is out of danger.
The area around the cemetery was sealed off by the police.
