Colomiers. Unipop screening and “Spaceflight” evening at the cinema

This evening, the Grand Central cinema is honoring Charles Aznavour as part of the Unipop system: from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Bertrand Dicale, journalist and music critic specializing in French song, will give a conference “Formidable Aznavour”, broadcast live from Pessac by videoconference. This will be followed, at 8.50 p.m., by the screening of a restored copy of the film “Shoot the pianist”, made in 1960 by François Truffaut with Charles Aznavour and Marie Dubois. Possibility to eat on site at the Central Club (cinema catering area). Price: €6 per film, €3 per conference for non-Unipop members.

Friday, May 20, an exceptional evening devoted to space flight, will begin at 8 p.m. with the screening of the short documentary film “In the eyes of Thomas Pesquet” (27 minutes).

This will be followed by a mini-conference and questions and answers with Yves Gourinat, Professor Supaero-University of Toulouse, Director of Physics of Structures and Biodynamics Research, aerospace expert. At 9:30 p.m., the Central Club will offer an “Entracte apéro” (alcohol-free cocktail and homemade appetizers). Screened at 10:15 p.m., the film “Proxima”, by Alice Winocour with Eva Green and Matt Dillon, will end this evening.

To be able to participate in the “Proxima” mission, Sarah, a French astronaut, follows the rigorous training imposed on astronauts. The only woman in a male environment, she is preparing above all for the separation from her 8-year-old daughter.

Evening pass: €18 (under 25s, €15).
