On June 4 this year at 20.00 Raimonds Tiguls open-air concert “Tiguļkalns” will take place in Talsi for the eleventh time, where the composer invites his music friends and like-minded people together every year on the highest of the nine hills of the city, creating a special feeling for every concert visitor.
Composer Raimonds Tiguls with singer Beata Zviedri, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra string quintet musicians, Sandis Šteinbergs, Raimonds Melderis, Arigo Strāls, Ainars Paukšēns, Raivo Ozols and outstanding instrumental group, Andis Klučnieks, Rihards Lībietis, Roberts Lībietis, This year in Tiguļkalns, the audience will be delighted with the concert program – “Moonlight Sound Drawings”.
This year, the special guest of the concert “Tiguļkalns” will be one of Latvia’s most remarkable talents – pianist Reinis Zariņš.
Raimonds Tiguls, a composer, says about the upcoming concert: “This concert program is very special to me, because it is in a way the musical journey of my life. We will hear my compositions, which have premiered in Tiguļkalns, music that addresses you from the Song Festival Grounds and concert halls all over the world. ”
The open-air concert started in 2012 as an idea to gather musicians together in Tiguļkalns every summer, with whom the co-operation projects created by Raimonds Tigulas reflect the versatility of the composer’s work, the feelings and special sound characteristic of Latvia’s nature, nation, culture and life.
The concert is organized by Raimonds Tiguls, and thanks to the support of Talsi municipality, the State Culture Capital Fund, SIA “Vika Wood” and SIA “Kurekss”, it is available to the visitor free of charge.
