The Xbox video game console, owned by the multinational Microsoft, is working to create its own streaming player, both to access games in the cloud and to enjoy series and movies. This was reported by the US website specializing in VentureBeat technology, which highlighted that the equipment will be similar to an Amazon Fire TV or a Roku.
Last year, the company had already officially communicated its plans to design a streaming device to play in the cloud, but it had not detailed that it would also include the possibility of accessing audiovisual productions. In addition, he had already made public his intention to insert applications on smart TVs. The objective that Xbox pursues is that its users do not need a console to play and be entertained.
VentureBeat revealed that the new streaming player will be released in the next twelve months. At the same time, the first app for smart TVs will also arrive, which will be for Samsung televisions.
