german media, Bild, report that Lewandowski even talked about a transfer to Barcelona in the Bayern dressing room. The 33-year-old striker is said to have sounded impassioned on the phone, discussing the difficulties he has faced in making his move away from Bayern possible.
Lewandowski did engage in conversation in Polish. However, according to the report, the one word his team-mates have clearly heard over and over again is Barcelona.
Bayern Munich doesn’t want to let go Robert Lewandowski before his contract runs out, even if that means losing him for free next summer. While Lewandowski has given strong indications that he wants to leave by not extending his contract.
“Both parties have to think about the future. We should find the best solution for both parties,” said Lewandowski after the match against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga last weekend.
“I told (Bayern sporting director Hasan) Salihamidzic that if there is an offer, then we have to think about it, also for the club. Both parties have to think about the future,” he said. Lewandowski.
