The Chilean midfielder between Colo Colo and Flamengo. At the moment “one certainty: I will leave Milan”
Arturo Vidal is already projected towards a future that will no longer be Nerazzurri by return of post. The Chilean first hinted at this with an explicit survey on his Instagram profile. Then he would also have confirmed it to the Chilean press, to which he would have confessed his farewell to Milan at the end of the season. “The only thing I can say – he would have admitted to the newspaper La Tercera – is that I will leave here.” Despite a contract with Inter valid until June 2023, Vidal would therefore have decided to remove the disturbance by supporting the will of the Nerazzurri, decided to cut the amount of salaries starting from him and from that of his compatriot Alexis Sanchez.

REVELATORY POLL
—
The Chilean had previously posted a not too cryptic video in which he showed his partner Sonia Isaza dancing by the pool with the Flamengo shirt, a team with which Vidal has been flirting for almost a year. At the end of the video, then, a rather explicit survey also appeared on what his new destination should be between Colo Colo (the club where he was formed and made his professional debut) and the carioca club. For the record, the Chilean’s fans have chosen Flamengo with a narrow margin of votes, but the certainty at this point is the farewell to Inter at the end of June. A farewell that could mature in two ways: through a severance pay of around 4 million, as required by the contract, or through a sale, obviously more welcome to the Nerazzurri. At the moment, Inter have not received any offers from either Colo Colo or Flamengo or other clubs, but it is not excluded that something will move by the end of the month.

LAST CHAPTER
—
This year Vidal has collected nine more appearances than last season (39 against 30), but the minutes have almost halved. The minutes spent on the pitch in the league fell from 1,144 with Conte to 683 with Inzaghi, a sign of how it is now considered a back-up. A decidedly too expensive reinforcement given the salary of around 6.5 million net, which is why the paths of the midfielder and Inter will separate in just over a month. Assuming he plays on Sunday, the match against Sampdoria will therefore be the Chilean’s last match in the Nerazzurri shirt, with which he collected a Scudetto (which could become two if he overtakes Milan on the last day) as well as an Italian Cup and one Super Cup.
