Don Matteo 13the advances of 19 May
During seventh episode, Marco e Valentina they had decided to come out and live their relationship out in the open. this, however, has made it difficult for the PM who, due to the great age difference, feels he cannot keep up with the girl’s rhythms. The story between the two returns to be the protagonist also of the eighth episode: Valentina seems to be happier than ever, Marco begins to have some doubts, and their relationship is put in crisis by the sudden return to Spoleto of the Colonel Anceschi, the girl’s father. In fact, the latter discovers that her daughter is in love with her PM, and does not take her well at all: he is not at all happy that Valentina is with a man much older than her.
As for the case to be solved during the episode, there is a twist. Spoleto is shocked by a murder, and the only suspect appears to be the mother of Federico, a woman with drug problems. The boy, who lives in the rectory with Don Massimo (during the first few episodes Don Matteo had taken his story to heart) is angry with his mother. For this Don Massimo once again shows off his skills as a former Carabiniere for to investigate about the woman’s past, discover her secrets and try to understand if she could really be guilty of a murder. Although she continues to call herself innocent, in fact, an episode of her adolescence ties her inextricably to her case. Meanwhile, Natalina receives incredible news: he discovers that a television crew, led by none other than Gigi Marzullo (who plays himself in the fiction) is coming to town to interview her, presumably to talk about Don Matteo and his mission in Africa.
