Météo-France predicts a very hot and sunny day this Wednesday in almost the entire country, before a stormy deterioration in the West.

The weather this Wednesday will be particularly hot throughout the country, announcement Meteo-France. As expected, “a heat dome” will affect France, and temperatures well above normal for the season will be recorded throughout the territory in the afternoon.

Temperatures will therefore still reach summer values. It will thus be 30°C in Nantes, 28°C in Rennes, or 31°C in Bourges. Further east, 30°C will be recorded in Strasbourg and 31°C in Dijon.

High temperatures until late in the day

The record should be reached in the Rhone Valley. According to The Weather Channel, it should be 35°C in Montélimar, and 33°C in Lyon. Still in the South, it will be very hot in Toulouse and Bordeaux (34°C), as well as in Montpellier (32°C) and Perpignan (30°C).

The high temperatures will continue into the evening, since it should be around 26°C in Paris, 28°C in Bordeaux and even 25°C in Reims.

In the East, the Mediterranean coast will be relatively spared, as will the Channel coast, where it will be 18°C ​​in Cherbourg.

Storms in the West

In the West, high clouds will temporarily give a slightly milkier sky. The weather will become heavy in the afternoon, the sky will threaten and end up giving thunderstorms which will circulate over eastern Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire then in the evening over Hauts-de-France and the ‘West of Paris.

These storms will be strong at times with numerous thunderclaps, hail and gusty winds. Further south, on the Aquitaine coast, after a hot afternoon, the wind will suddenly switch to the west, increasing with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h accompanied by a clear cooling.

Storms will finally break out in the evening from the west of the Pyrenees and from Aquitaine to Poitou then from the west of the Occitanie region to Limousin.
