Caution is in order, even if David Pastrňák arrives.
–
The Czech hockey idol with the pseudonym “Pasta” has not been in its top form lately. He worked with injuries, played under injections. Even his Boston Bruins are not the team they were three years ago when they made it to the Stanley Cup final.
–
But now Pastrňák is coming – and is expected to join the team as his most capable striker. “After the end of Boston in the NHL playoffs, David was very interested in coming to the World Cup and although he was injured at the end of the basic part, his exit health tests went smoothly. He got the green light from Bruins, “said Petr Nedvěd, general manager of the Czech national team.

Pastrňák should train with the team on Wednesday and may play against Latvia on Thursday.
