Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Amber Heard write a love letter to Johnny Depp shortly after accusing her then husband of sexual assault in Australia. This was revealed in the follow-up hearing of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s cross-examination.
In a hearing held Tuesday (17/5) in Fairfax, Virginia, Camille Vasquez as Johnny Depp’s lawyer questioned the truth of the actress’ allegations regarding sexual harassment with liquor bottles.
Vasquez then performed a shared notebook that Amber Heard and Johnny Depp kept. The two exchanged stories and feelings through the writings in the book.
Heard’s first note to Depp is dated 22 May 2015 in the book, or about two months after Heard accused Depp of sexual assault in Australia. Heard and Depp each use the pet nicknames, Slim and Steve.
“That’s true. It was during our honeymoon period,” said Amber Heard when she saw the diary displayed in court, as reported by the AP on Tuesday (17/5).
“Isn’t that more than two months after the events in Australia in March 2015?” asked Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer.
“That’s true. We were still in the honeymoon phase at the time. It was a quiet period like I said yesterday,” replied Heard.
Depp’s lawyers later tried to confirm that it was written about two months after Heard punched Depp for suspecting her husband would push his sister down the stairs.
“I hit him when he hit my sister. It was written months later, yes,” Amber Heard confirmed.
