Honda Brio driver goes viral after turning on the lights strobe and sirens to break through traffic jams in Malang City, East Java. Presented at the Malang City Police, finally the Brio driver revealed the reason for using a strobe.
The white Honda Brio driver with the police number B 2509 FIZ was arrested by the Malang City Police Traffic Unit officers in the Jalan Wilis area, Malang City. His identity was revealed.
The driver is Hafiz (21), a student from North Jakarta. Together with his vehicle, Hafiz was then taken to the Malang City Police Headquarters.
“We managed to secure the driver along with the vehicle while crossing Jalan Wilis. Then it was stopped by members and cooperative drivers,” said the Regident Head of Traffic Unit AKP Rahandy Gusti Pradana as reported by detikJatimWednesday (18/5/2022).
Hafiz, who was presented at the press conference, pleaded guilty and apologized. For having turned on the strobe light and sounded the siren to break through the traffic jam.
“I’m here to apologize for using a rotator siren to go viral, please forgive me. And I promise not to repeat these things for the common good,” he said.
