Vietnam managed to break the 100 gold record at the 2021 SEA Games, while Indonesia is still struggling to break into the top four. Following SEA Games standingsTuesday (17/5) at 23.00 WIB.
Vietnam is getting stronger and not overtaken at the top of the standings with 101 gold, 65 silver and 64 bronze marks.
Vietnam has won many gold medals from a number of sports which are known as medal mines, such as athletics (16 gold), swimming (7 gold), and gymnastics (4 gold).
Not until there, Vietnam also succeeded in a number of martial arts events such as kickboxing (5 gold), pencak silat (6 gold), and kurash (7 gold).
Vietnam led the gold acquisition more than doubled than the Thai contingent. Thailand, which is in second place, collected 43 gold, 45 silver and 63 bronze.
In third place, the Philippines collected 34 gold, 39 silver and 51 bronze. Meanwhile, Singapore has 30 gold, 32 silver and 36 bronze.
Indonesia is still trying to catch up with Singapore. Indonesia has 27 gold, 40 silver and 38 bronze so far.
As of Tuesday (18/5), Laos and Timor Leste are still working hard to get their first gold medal at the 2021 SEA Games this time.
