PHU THU – Indonesian National Team U-23 will play Thailand in men’s soccer semifinal SEA Games 2021. Ahead of the semi-final match, Thailand’s coach, Alexandre Polking, did not want to brag.
Predicting the course of the match later, Polking assesses that the match will be fierce. The reason is, Garuda Muda is considered the best team in Group A even though it finally finished second after the host Vietnam.
“Indonesia is the best team in the group,” said Polking, quoted from The ThaigerTuesday (17/5/2022).
Marc Klok and friends are rated to have featured a charming game. The Brazilian-German-blooded architect is confident Shin Tae-yong’s team will be a threat to the Young War Elephants.
Therefore, Polking emphasized to his foster children not to be careless when meeting Garuda Muda. Inadvertence can create disaster for Thailand.
“They played well and it’s a dangerous team. We can’t be careless because we knew that in the last AFF Cup,” said Polking.
The 46-year-old architect is already getting ready to fight the U-23 Indonesian National Team. Take for example, when facing Laos, he rested a line of his mainstay players. Because the fitness of players is needed to face the aggressiveness of Garuda Muda.
“We have rested the players completely,” concluded Polking.
