DHF Cases in Bekasi Regency This Year Reaches 411 Cases

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, CIKARANG – public health Office Bekasi Regency recorded cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) from January to April 2022, has reached 411 cases and one of them died.

The highest dengue cases were found in Sumberjaya Health Center, South Tambun District.

Head of the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Section (P2PM) of the Bekasi District Health Office, Ahmad Nurfallah, said that when compared to last year with the same period, dengue cases only reached 101 cases with the death toll reaching three people.

“This year, dengue cases are high but the death rate is low. Last year, dengue cases were low but the death rate reached three people,” said Ahmad when confirmed Monday (16/5/2022).

Ahmad explained that there were 73 cases of dengue fever in January, 46 cases in February, 151 cases in March and 141 cases in April with one death case.

Meanwhile in 2021 data, there were 5 cases in January, 5 cases in February, 19 cases in March and 72 cases in April with three deaths.

“Last year, the highest dengue cases were in the Mangunjaya Health Center, South Tambun,” he said.

He invited the public to routinely clean water reservoirs and their environment so that mosquitoes that cause dengue do not breed.

“We always invite the public to care about the surrounding environment to eradicate the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which is the mosquito that carries the dengue virus, the cause of dengue fever,” said Ahmad. (abs)
