The leak and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo went out a few days ago with the information that at least one of the Iphone 15 models launched in 2023 may have a USB C port, unlike today’s Lightning port. Now Kuo is following this up with further information that Apple may make a much bigger transition to USB C than just an Iphone model. Accessories such as Apple’s AirPods, MagSafe Battery Pack and Magic Keyboard / Mouse / Trackpad may also have the new port for Apple in what Kuo calls a foreseeable future. This would then expand Apple’s range of devices that offer USB C, which today mainly include larger devices such as different models of MacBook, iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini.
Earlier rumors that Apple could release a completely portable phone with only wireless charging no longer seem relevant.
