The production plant for the serial production of the PastoCorona vaccine injection, located in Iran, was inaugurated by the authorities of Cuba and Iran, reported Prensa Latina. Cuba was the first country in the developing world to generate its own vaccines, the nation has three registered vaccines and two other vaccine candidates in the process of clinical trials.
This new center for the serial production of the PastoCorona vaccine injection is the result of the transfer to the Pateur Institute of the technology of the Cuban Sovereign vaccine, a scientific achievement of the Finlay Institute of Vaccines.
Cuban scientists and health personnel knew how to grow in caring for the population and in the development and production of equipment, drugs and devices to alleviate the consequences of COVID-19 in the Antillean country.
Cuba faced during the pandemic stage due to the aforementioned disease, the need to supply the lack of respirators in intensive care rooms and developed new protocols and treatment and care systems for infected patients.
