Quarrel with LFI over a constituency of the Rhône

The agreement with LFI within the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) has caused some problems, particularly in the constituency of Vénissieux (Rhône), where the PCF hoped for the investiture of the communist mayor Michèle Picard.

But LFI has invested a new rebellious candidate Idir Boumertit, despite the withdrawal of journalist Taha Bouhafs, the subject of an internal investigation after accusations of sexual violence. Overseas candidates are not included in this list.
