The driver of car transport company Piceur from Wingene wanted to deliver three new Land Rovers to a garage in Kortrijk around one o’clock on Friday night. Because the street of the garage is too narrow for the large trailer, the driver parked at the indoor karting a little further on. When he had unloaded the three cars, he went back to his cabin to get the papers. At that time, every car contains a key that is deposited in the letterbox during a night delivery. When he got back out, one of the cars, a Land Rover Defender 110, was missing.
The car has a value of 100,000 euros. The thief got away with it without a license plate. The driver immediately notified the police. He launched a search, including a helicopter, but the car was never found.
