The Latvian jury awarded 12 points to the representatives of Ukraine, 10 points to Sweden and 8 points to the United Kingdom.
In the final of the competition, 20 songs competed and were selected in the first and in the second semi-finals, as well as the “big five” countries – Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, whose performances were seen for the first time on the grand Eurovision stage. The winners of the competition were determined by the vote of the spectators and the evaluation of the jury. The Eurovision Song Contest was held for the 66th time.

Latvia was represented in the competition by a group “Other Boys” with the song “Eat Your Salad”but did not make it to the Eurovision final.
