The Group of Seven Industrialized Countries (G7) said on Saturday that it would never recognize the borders that Russia had achieved as a result of the aggressive war against Ukraine.

“We will never acknowledge the borders that Russia has tried to change with military aggression and will continue to play its part in supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the G7 foreign minister said in a statement.
The communiqué, issued by ministers after a three-day meeting in northern Germany, also called on Belarus to stop supporting Russia in its war against Ukraine.
G7 ministers have also expressed their determination to extend sanctions against Russia to sectors of the Russian economy on which the totalitarian regime of dictator Vladimir Putin is particularly dependent.
The final document of the meeting also contains a warning to China not to try to circumvent the sanctions imposed on Russia.
