Back to the antenna. Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, originally from Aveyron, will be back at the presentation of the 1 p.m. news from TF1 Monday, May 16. It was the journalist herself who announced the news in a short video posted on Twitter.

« Finally, finally, I know that I will find you. It will be Monday, May 16. We will meet at 1 p.m. for the newspaper on TF1. I’m really, really looking forward to it,” says Marie-Sophie Lacarrau with a big smile on her face.

Why has Marie-Sophie Lacarrau been absent from the TF1 newspaper for four months?

The journalist has not been on the air for more than four months. After taking a few days off for the end-of-year holidays, the Aveyronnais could not take control of the midday newspaper of the front page.

She was affected by an ophthalmic problem. She briefly talked about it in another video in which she wears sunglasses to protect one of her eyes: “I don’t want to dwell on my case. But, to answer all those who wonder and so that you understand my absence which lasts, know that I suffer from a rare and severe eye infection that requires long treatment. »

In an interview with the newspaper Le Parisien-Today in France of this Friday, May 13, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau looks back on this long treatment that she had to follow. “I had the impression of having gravel, pieces of glass in my eye”, recalls the journalist from Villefranche-de-Rouergue.
