Karangasem – Dozens of patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) are still undergoing intensive treatment at the Karangasem Hospital, Kabupaten Karangasem KarangasemBali.
A total of 23 patients were treated at the red plate hospital belonging to the Karangasem Regency Government. Of the total tens of patients treated, 5 of them were pediatric patients.
The Head of Medical Services at the Karangasem Hospital, Dr. Wayan Yogi Rangga Permana, Thursday (12/5/2022) said that the number of dengue cases in early 2022 did experience a significant increase.
It was stated, from January to May 2022, there were 220 DHF patients being treated at RSUD Karangasem. According to Yogi Rangga Permana, this figure or number is much higher when compared to the previous year, which only consisted of dozens of patients.
“Of the number (220 patients), which are still being treated, there are 23 people, 5 of them are pediatric patients,” said Yogi Rangga.
Yogi Rangga also said that there is no susceptible age affected by dengue at this time because the number of patients varies from children to adults.
With the high number of dengue cases in Karangasem Currently, his party appealed to the public to always adopt a healthy lifestyle.
“If you have symptoms of a high fever, you should immediately go to the nearest health center,” he asked.
