The 22-year-old Peltokoski has been appointed the new artistic director of the LNSO

The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra met the young man in Riga this January, agreeing on the music of Sibelius, Rachmaninoff and Wagner.

In June 2021, Tarmo Peltokoski earned his debut in Germany with the Bremen German Chamber Philharmonic. He is currently the main guest conductor of the orchestra and the first holder of such a title in the orchestra’s 42-year history.

After Tarmo Peltokoski’s recent debut with the French Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the French music edition Diapason wrote: “Attention, genius! The debut of 22-year-old Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski in France was marked with extraordinary excellence.”

Tarmo Peltokoski will soon be meeting with many outstanding European and Japanese orchestras.
