This Tuesday, May 10 Florent Pagny chose to speak about his state of health and his treatment for lung cancer. Through a video posted on Instagram, the singer wanted to be reassuring: “I did not want to impose a Netflix series on you on my treatment and my story, but since this disease is soon behind me, I can tell you that I I’m very well” he began by announcing to his fans, reporting a effective treatment. Suffering from inoperable lung cancer which he announced in January 2022, the singer was forced to follow a very strict treatment protocol over six months by combining chemotherapy et radiotherapy by X-rays.

“My tumor which was the size of a kiwi turned into a hazelnut”
“The protocol worked rather well since as soon as immunotherapy my tumor, which was the size of a kiwi, turned into a hazelnut”, he continued before explaining that the second stage of his intensive radiotherapy treatment had also worked. The singer then explained that the doctors were very confident about his remission. “When everything is a bit resolved we will be able to know a little more but we are very confident”.

The singer thanks for the thousands of messages of love received
Smiling and optimistic, the interpreter also returned to the support received so far “If everything went so well it is also because I was very well accompanied by the medical team, by my other half and my children and by the thousands of messages of love that you write to me every day”. For now, and while his treatment is coming to an end soonthe singer announced what awaits him in the coming weeks “I’m going to finish this chemotherapy, finish The Voice, strengthen myself and if all goes well I could resume my tour, it will then be the 61-year-old tour!”.

In a few weeks, the singer will be able to communicate the final results of his condition. For now, Florent Pagny has been forced to interrupt the concerts of his new tour to recover. Coach in the show The Voice currently broadcast, his physical appearance had not really changed until now because the episodes had been pre-recorded.
