AMUN/11-05-22
The Civic Plaza in the San Isidro area will have three platforms and is built by workers from the San Antonio Sub-Mayor’s Office, with resources from the Immediate Response Fund. The execution of the work corresponds to the second stage of intervention, began on May 4 and would conclude the weekend.

“The Civic Plaza in the San Isidro area is being upgraded, it comprises three platforms, the first is a civic area for raising flags, the second is a small viewpoint with planters and the third is a connection area with the sidewalk and park”, explained the deputy mayor of the San Antonio macrodistrict, Francisco Muñoz.

The area has an area of 155 square meters and is executed at the request of the residents of this area. In 2021, a first intervention was already carried out, which consisted of equipping the area for the construction of the three platforms.

“Last year we have worked with heavy machinery to prepare the land and the rains have prevented us from finishing. Now, once the rains are over and taking advantage of the request of the neighbors and the anniversary that is close to this sector, we are carrying out the project,” Muñoz remarked.

The work will cost 50,000 bolivianos and will benefit at least 5,000 inhabitants, residents of this sector of San Isidro. It is located in the center of this area of the San Antonio macrodistrict, between Donoso Torres and Las Retamas streets.

“It is a request from the neighborhood association that wants to take advantage of the space for civic activities and the enhancement that the raising of the flag entails and in the viewpoint so that people are distracted,” added Deputy Mayor Muñoz.
