The authorities of the Belgorod region reported about the shelling of the border settlement of Solokhi by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About it says in the statement of the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

According to him, the fire on the settlement of Solokhi was fired from the territory of Ukraine.

Gladkov also said that after the explosions, the head of the settlement arrived at the scene of the emergency, and medical assistance is being provided to the wounded citizens. The distance from the village of Solokhi to the border with Ukraine is about 11 kilometers.

After some time, the governor of the Belgorod region declaredthat as a result of the incident, a residential building was partially destroyed and a fire broke out.

“The main smoke comes from reeds growing outside the village. Fire brigades are already working on the spot. Once again: the village is not on fire, the houses are not on fire,” Vyacheslav Gladkov said in a message.

Later governor informedthat as a result of an emergency in the village of Solokhi one person died, three more received various injuries. According to Gladkov, one of the victims died in an ambulance.

By information Baza publications, two people became victims of an emergency in the village of Solokhi – a 14-year-old schoolboy and a 19-year-old boy.

“Four more people were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. Among the victims there is also a minor – a 17-year-old teenager had to be hospitalized with a hip wound,” the journalists say, citing their sources in law enforcement agencies.

After the explosions, local residents reported on social networks that aircraft had been spotted in the sky over the Belgorod region. In addition, civilians continue to hear the sounds of explosions.

TV channel “Direct”, in turn, claimsthat oil storage facilities and a warehouse of fuels and lubricants caught fire in the Russian region.
