FC Barcelona receives good news in poker about Nicolas Tagliafico. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the left-back is still willing to leave Ajax. Three clubs from abroad are said to have inquired, probably including Barça.
Back in January, the Blaugrana were keen to start a collaboration with Tagliafico. But Ajax blocked it, as the 29-year-old later explained with disappointment: “I shouldn’t have missed such a unique opportunity to join a club like Barça.”
What should make the deal difficult for Barça to implement is the fee that would be due due to the contract with Ajax, which is still dated until 2023. Tagliafico wants to play regularly again and is concerned about his place at the World Cup with Argentina.

The left-back would take on the role of backup from Jordi Alba, who has been promised regular breaks for next season. Tagliafico could still fulfill his dream with a six-month delay.
