Daily COVID deaths and cases drop in May

The federal Ministry of Health reported a reduction in deaths and cases of COVID-19 in the last month, registering 370 daily cases and an average death per day.

According to weekly technical reporthospitalization is also at minimum levels, occupying 2% in general beds and 1% in beds with a ventilator.

Until epidemiological week 18, 5,745,228 cases and at least 324,463 deaths recognized by the authority have been confirmed.

Regarding vaccination against COVID, 205 million 629 thousand 496 have been applied, corresponding to 85 million 923 thousand 271 people immunized.

52 million 940 thousand 36 reinforcements have also been applied, which imply 66% of the coverage.
