Banten Governor Wahidin Halim said, if Jakarta had the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), in Banten there must be one Banten International Stadium (BUS). This was conveyed by Wahidin when he inaugurated the BIS in the region sport centerSerang City.
“If there is JIS in Jakarta, we must have BIS. We are here to inaugurate the stadium which we named the Banten International Stadium,” Wahidin said in his remarks at the inauguration of BIS, Monday (9/5/2022).
If developed countries have an international standard field, he said Banten should also have one. The field, which was built with a budget of almost Rp. 1 trillion, must become an icon for national and international matches.
“We wake up to be present in the midst of Banten residents who long for the international field, where football is adequate for those who miss that we have an icon,” he said.
He said this field should be the pride of the community. However, he asked all elements of the community to take care not to slum.
“The community participates in caring for, maintaining, so that it is known as a civilized society. Not a dirty society, not a careless society,” he added.
Finally, he hopes that the construction of this stadium will bring benefits to the people of Banten. The stadium is open to anyone, including football matches.
“Hopefully it will bring benefits to the people of Banten and we share happiness, I am open and open to anyone playing football in this place,” he concluded.
