Organic and low-cost fruits and vegetables: the PCF 93 is organizing its “solidarity sale” this Wednesday

“Debunking the false idea that eating Bio is reserved for the wealthy. “This is the objective of the federation of the Communist Party of Seine-Saint-Denis (PCF 93), which organizes this Wednesday its “solidarity sale” of fruits and vegetables in eleven municipalities of the department (Aubervilliers, Aulnay-sous-Bois , Bagnolet, Bobigny, Bondy, Drancy, Épinay-sur-Seine, Montreuil, Noisy-le-Sec, Pantin and Saint-Ouen). In all, residents will be able to visit 21 points of sale.

The federation has partnered with the social and solidarity economy company Kelbongoo to offer fruit and vegetables at discounted prices, from small producers (in organic farming, in conversion or in peasant farming, guaranteed without pesticides), all located less than 200 kilometers from Paris. An initiative which “aims to alert to the difficulties that more and more families are encountering to eat well and to denounce the continuous decline in farmers’ incomes”, explains the PCF 93.

We can thus buy potatoes for 1.10 euros per kilogram, carrots for 2.20 euros per bunch, a “salad of the moment” for 1 euro per piece or even a tray of button mushrooms for 2.10 euros. .

Prices “escaping the profit margins of large retailers”, continues the Communist Party, which also wants “fair remuneration for producers” and in this way raise awareness among the general public of “other modes of consumption respectful of biodiversity and the planet “.
