It was a moving Hærland that received one of the most generous awards during this year’s Gullruten.

The award ceremony is considered one of Norway’s largest. Here, the cream is chosen by Norwegian TV programs and personalities.

This year’s prize splash went off the stack in Gullruten in the Grieg Hall in Bergen on Saturday night.

– Now you have been honored for your entire career. Is there anything you remember particularly well?

– I have been allowed to make so many different things. I’m just happy with all the things I’ve been able to do.

Hærland, who recently started a new job as a podcast developer at Aller Social Club, is especially known from the time she was a regular participant in Nytt again from 1999 to 2007. During the award ceremony on Saturday, clips from Hærland’s glory days were shown in the entertainment program.

Hærland has previously come forward with the eye disease she kept hidden for 20 years.

– This diagnosis has been under everything I have done for 20 years, she told VG in 2016.
