Leverkusen in the premier class – Union and Cologne in the European Cup

In addition to FC Bayern and BVB, Bayer Leverkusen also has the Champions League ticket for sure. Union Berlin and 1. FC Köln are represented internationally next season. Hertha has to tremble.

Berlin – Bayer Leverkusen has qualified for the Champions League, and 1. FC Köln and Union Berlin also play internationally. On the penultimate day of the Bundesliga, Leverkusen won 4-2 (1-2) at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and are therefore definitely represented in the premier class.

For SC Freiburg, on the other hand, there was a setback in the fight for the premier class with the 1: 4 (0: 3) against Union Berlin. This means that the Breisgauers can lose their place in the Champions League to RB Leipzig on Sunday.

Union and Cologne play internationally

Thanks to the success, Union is again safe in the European Cup, just like 1. FC Köln despite the 0:1 (0:1) home defeat against VfL Wolfsburg. FC benefited from the neighborhood help from Leverkusen in Hoffenheim.

In the evening, Hertha BSC missed out on remaining in the Bundesliga. The team of interim coach Felix Magath suffered a 1:2 (1:1) defeat in the home game against FSV Mainz 05. A win would have put them in the 15th table. rescued. Davie Selke (45 + 5) only provided the interim compensation. Silvan Widmer (25th) and Stefan Bell (81st) scored for Mainz.

Hoffenheim gambled away Europe

Hoffenheim missed the last chance for the European Cup with the 2:4. Georginio Rutter (22′) and Christoph Baumgartner (36′) gave TSG the lead twice. But Patrik Schick (34′, 76′), Moussa Diaby (73′) and Lucas Alario (90′ + 1′) scored for Bayer.

In the last first division home game, Greuther Fürth conceded another defeat against Borussia Dortmund with the 1:3 (0:1). Julian Brandt (26′) put Dortmund ahead with a sweep and also scored two minutes after Jessic Ngankam equalized (70′). Felix Passlack (77th) scored for BVB against SpVgg, who were overwhelmed in the end and who had said goodbye to five players and coach Stefan Leitl before their last home game.
