Brighton –
Brighton & Hove Albion defeated Manchester United in the Premier League competition. The Red Devils humiliated The Seagulls through a 0-4 defeat.
Competing at the Amex Stadium, Brighton, Saturday (7/5/2022), MU struggled from the first minute. The visitors’ goal even broke first in the 15th minute, through the action of Moises Caicedo. The 1-0 score lasted until the break.
In the second half, MU even conceded again. Brighton can add three more goals, each through Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross, and Leandro Trossard. The hosts finally won 2-0 over MU.
The defeat made Manchester United stuck in sixth place in the Premier League standings with 58 points from 37 matches. While Brighton rose to ninth place with 47 points from 36 matches.
The course of the match
MU quite difficult against Brentford. The Red Devils lost the game in midfield. Since the first half began, United’s two anchors, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay, often lost the ball. Brighton used this condition to suppress his opponent.
