Swimming Pool at Kenjeran Park Temporarily Closed, Affects 16 People Become Victims of Ambrol

SURABAYA, KOMPAS.com – Tanjung Perak Port Resort Police Chief (Kapolres) AKBP Anton Elfrino confirmed that he had temporarily closed the swimming pool after the slide collapse incident at Kenjeran Park (Kenpark), Surabaya, East Java, Saturday (7/5/2022).

Anton, who directly inspected the crime scene (TKP) had asked his members to submit to the management to be closed for the sake of investigation and investigation.

“We ask that it be temporarily closed. So that no one is visited, for the sake of investigation,” Anton told the media crew at the scene.

Anton said that his party is currently looking for the exact cause of the slide in the Kenjeran Park swimming pool.

“We and the Criminal Investigation Unit are looking for these allegations,” he said.

He confirmed that there were no casualties from the incident.

However, there were 16 victims with injuries and fractures and some with minor brain injuries.

They have been referred to the hospital.

“A total of 16 people entered the hospital, and no one died, they fell from a height of 10 meters,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the response from the management through the HRD Manager of PT Bangun Citra Wisata (BCW) Bambang Irianto said that the swimming pool has also been closed since Saturday afternoon.
