Installed in the garden of Antoine and Cathy’s house, “Chut” offers a real city break in the heart of the pink city. In a guinguette atmosphere, at the edge of the swimming pool, the hosts have installed about fifteen place settings in this wooded oasis.
Well known for his first Toulouse wine and tapas bar, “El Abanico”, a restaurant owner for 45 years and installed in this magnificent house for 17 years, Antoine wanted to receive people at his home. The expression of some restaurateurs, to open their restaurant “like at home” has never been so aptly named! Because here, you are at Antoine’s who opens the doors of his home for lunch on reservation.
Grills and brazier
The concept is that of a brazier, famous “Ofyr” which also acts as a plancha. Installed in the middle of the garden, meat, fish, shellfish and vegetables are cooked in front of the hosts. On the menu, high quality meats – Galicia, Normandy, black Angus, Aubrac…- accompanied by homemade fries or grilled vegetables and salad. Eggplant, peppers, zucchini, onions, candied shallots, fried potatoes…
Of course, it is also a question here of Iberian plates with pata negra ham and Iberian ham!
The desserts are homemade, and will complete this culinary adventure: Andalusian cheesecakes, chocolate fondants, bananas or pineapples flambéed on the Ofyr, homemade whipped cream, seasonal fruit salads… As for the beverages, they are mainly made from Languedoc wines , from Roussillon, without forgetting the famous rosé from Château Maïme.
